Pleeeaaaase!!!!! Parents need to stop this nonsense about being terrified of traumatizing their children. They are raising rude, self centered screeching brats. The teachers are following this trend by giving everyone a medal( heaven forbid anyone should take 1st place) and by not using a red pen when marking papers. WTF!! How will these kids ever fit in the work place? How will they ever contribute to the common good?
There is no Behaviour Science book that can replace good old Common Sense. Children need structure and true Role Models. They learn how to behave with respect, courtesy and empathy by following their parent’s example.
I am certainly not the brightest star in the universe and I have not set the world on fire but I am very proud of having raised a son who became a respectful, sensitive, open minded adult. Of course, I made mistakes along the way but still managed to do a pretty good job. Thank you Goddesses.
