  2. That is some serious smoke … I grew up in Australia where wildfires, or ‘bushfires’ as we called ’em, were a fact of life … but this kind of sky always sent an shiver down my spine … hope you’re still safe.

    • We’re about 10 miles away as the crow flies but that smoke made breathing optional and the ash falling looked like perverted snow

  3. P.S. I think it was the umpredictability that got me. All it would take was Herself changing her mind, just the tiniest bit, and you could end up very dead indeed. Toasty even! 😀 .. a little macabre humour to brighten your day. 🙂
