  1. It is amazing to witness a “Hummer War” up close. Last year, I was standing on my front porch and witnessed a 5-minute battle, literally at arm’s length away from me. Those little birds were beating the crap out of each other; one even got smacked to the ground and sat there for a couple of seconds before jumping back into the fight. Five minutes for me, but it was probably like a 2-hour boxing match for them!

    • I’ve had one come at me and stop right between my eyes creaking furiously at me and I was very glad I was wearing glasses because from about 3 inches away he was damn scary.
