I made this Halloween craft blog party

Another piece of fused dichroic glass. The spooky spider and her web was etched freehand with hydrofluoric acid and then fired in the kiln overnight at 1500°. It was then wrapped in silver and orange wire that was colour over silver wire and a pewter spider charm and hematite beads used at the hanger. It’s hanging on black silk.

  1. I am awestruck by the profoundness of looking at your wonderful witchy art, knowing how fascinated you are by space exploration, and the fact that my dad used to use this same technology to make rockets go into space. There is something about this, about the fact that here you are honouring Spider and Her Web, and the whole idea is just giving me chills (in a good way). Thank you.
