PUCK
If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumber’d here
While these visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding but a dream,
Gentles, do not reprehend:
if you pardon, we will mend:
And, as I am an honest Puck,
If we have unearned luck
Now to ‘scape the serpent’s tongue,
We will make amends ere long;
Else the Puck a liar call;
So, good night unto you all.
Give me your hands, if we be friends,
And Robin shall restore amends.

Poetry month – Give me a rose

image

Give me a rose in the wintertime
When it’s hard to find
Give me a rose in the wintertime
I’ve got roses on my mind
A rose is sweet most any time and yet
Give me a rose in the wintertime
How easy we forget.

Give me smile when I’m far from home.
When it’s hard to find
Give me a smile when I’m far from home
I’ve got smiling on my mind.
Now a smile is sweet most any time and yet
Give me a smile when I’m far from home
How easy we forget.

Give me a kiss when my baby’s gone ….

Give me a friend when I’m all alone …

Give me some peace when there’s talk of war…

Give me some sun when the rain is gone
When it’s hard to find
Give me some sun when the rain is gone
I’ve got sunshine on my mind
Now the sun is sweet most any time and yet.
Give me some sun when the rain is gone
How easy we forget.
