Poetry month – John Denver

John Denver
Earth day Every day (Celebrate) Lyrics:

Celebrate morning
The cry of a loon on a lake in the night
the dreams that are born in the
dawn’s early light
Celebrate morning

Celebrate living
The laughter that sings in the heart of a child
The freedom that flies at the call of the wild
Celebrate living
Celebrate evening
The stars that appear in the loss of the sun
Whispering winds, “We are
one, we are one”…

Celebrate earth Day, every day
Celebrate earth Day, every day
Celebrate land and sea
Celebrate you and me

Celebrate earth Day, every day
Celebrate land and sea
Celebrate you and me
Celebrate earth Day, every day,
every day, every day, every day

I’m a survivor

This car was rolled three times after a lady thought a red light meant stop only if you want to. It landed upside down after rolling over another car. The dent in the rear roof is from slamming into the “don’t walk” light on one of the signals before it landed on the roof. The dent in the front of the roof was from the curb. This was taken the next morning in the tow yard. The attendant went and got the other tow truck drivers because she couldn’t believe I had survived it. All the windows were broken out except the driver’s and the windshield. I ended up hanging from my seat belt.
I always where my seat belt. It’s saved my life twice now.
