10mgs is a very small amount of a medication thats normal dose is 200mgs but it can sure work miracles. Last night I finally got back on the medication that works for nerve pain. I rolled my car in ’96 and from then on til ’99 I was always in pain from a sheared nerve at the base of my skull. I got a neurologist who listened and gave me nortriptiline which is a antidepresent at 200mg and they have no idea why it works on merve pain at very low doses at 10mgs. In 2002 I lost my job and insurance when my company went to using people in India to do my job. Why pay 40K+ a year when you can pay $160 a month and no benefits?
Anyway, I got off the med because my PCP refused to prescribe it 2004 I got a job and insurance again but no drug, I basically have been in at least low grade pain ever since and sometimes severe pain. When I saw the neurologist this week he gave me the script again and last night I took it. When I woke up this morning I just lay there trying to figure out what was wrong??? with my body. What was wrong? I was pain free for the first time in a very long time. Felt like a miracle. WOW!
I think I actually slept deeply for the first time in a long time last night too.
This was my car, It rolled 3 times and landed upside down. A woman ran a red light and hit me broadside.
