Because I’m camp sick

My favourite camp song: Birthright

We, who are born in country places,
Far from the city and shifting faces,
We have a birthright no man can sell
And a secret joy no man can tell

For we are kindred to lordly things
The white owl’s cry and the wild duck’s wing
Pike and salmon, bull and horse
The curlew’s cry and the smell of gorse.

Pride of tree and swiftness of stream
The magic of frost has shaped our dreams
No greater vision the spirit fills
Who walk by right on the naked hills.

I’m a certifiable nut job. I just re-enrolled at Pierce College for Fall. I thought I’d take a Creative Writing class or Anthro class.

It will either help my stress level or drive me clear around the bend. To take an English class you have to take a test to prove you can write or provide transcripts of passed English classes so that means I need to find my community college transcripts or go get my CSUN transcripts to prove I passed the English exit exam. Either way it’s a pain in the pattoot.

I guess I can’t just submit a story I’ve had published?
