Tour de France

Our household will be Tour de France crazed for the next month. It has been for several years. Before we watched for Lance because had cancer and survived and then I watched because it’s an awesomely difficult athletic event and these guys are probably the most challenged athletes in any large competition.

It can be beautiful to watch all those cyclists moving in the peleton as if they were one entity. And watching the crashes can raise atavistic urges or at the very least kinesthetic sensations.

It is fascinating to watch the strategies of the different teams.

But right now those teams strategies must be in chaos because so many potential winners just got thrown out of the race. A big green light just went on for a lot of American cyclists so tomorrow it could get really exciting!
