I’m having a terrible dilemna. I can’t decide what book to read next. And if I wait til the Amazon order comes tomorrow it will only get worse. On the one hand I want to re-read “Holy Blood, Holy Grail” before I decide if I really want to read the “Da Vinci Code” and because of the National Geographic Special last night on the Gospel of Judas or if I want to stretch my brain in relation to our discussions yesterday on humans need to tell stories and the use of metaphor by reading Terry Pratchett’s third book in the series, The Science of DiscWorld, “Darwin’s Watch”. I love that he thinks the species should be named Pan Narrans instead of Homo Sapien. The story telling ape as opposed to the wise man. One should always have these kinds of choices or one could be reduced to reading labels in the kitchen or bathroom or horror of horrors actually be forced to write one’s own stories.
